• Release the screw securing the memory module cover. • Gently pry up the cover. • Push the latches to release the memory module. A spring will force one end of the module up. Grasp the module and pull it out.

Disassembling the ODD (CD-ROM/DVD-ROM/CD-RW) Drive To disassemble the optical drive, you need to remove the memory module cover first as described in the previous section “ Removing the DDR RAM.” Then follow the steps below: • Release the two screws from the bracket plate. • Use your finger to slide out the optical drive in direction of the arrow. • Gently pull out the optical drive.
